grinding 6th gear

You can also put GM Syncromesh in if your syncros are grinding and you can't get things fixed under warranty... it made all the gear grinding in 3rd gear in my old VW go away and is commonly used across various makes and models to solve grinding.
Be careful with Synchromesh. I used it in my WRX and it made the synchro grind go away but it's so thin it's not providing nearly the protection I'm comfortable with for the gears themselves.

I'm partial to redline shockproof lightweight. I used it in my STI and all synchros were happy and it's so thick, I felt the risk of slamming gears and high rpm clutch drops wasn't nearly what it used to be.

i had this problem in mine thankfully it was under warranty . NEW tranny, 6th gear sinc was gone. not done since.
