Point me in the right direction

I am interested in making some improvements to my g35 but have no idea where to start. Ive browsed through tons of posts and still cant find the answers that Im looking for. Does anyone have a g35 (or car) for dummies book??
Where can I find info on aftermarket items such as long tube intakes, exhausts, chips, nose masks, springs, sway bars etc?

TIA

It could be unleashed by moving your cursor over the tab called "FORUMS" then slightly moving it down and clicking on "SEARCH"

You'll be blown away when you discover what it can do.

Why thank you JOKER.. arent you just a clown

Ive tried the all mighty search feature but Im running into a lot of posts that discuss the makers of the products and not exactly what they do.

I figure I would get better answers here verses yahoo answers or google..but maybe not

that's what I'm saying.

SEARCH here on the forums.

You cant summarize all the info you asking about in one thread.

You need to be more specific.

You will find plenty of info in Tech Area https://g35driver.com/forums/#tech-area on all of the products and their reviews.

Read up first then ask questions on things you don't understand.

I'm sure there are plenty ppl here that will be able to answer all of your questions.

good luck.

A quick tip.

Check the "Sticky" threads first in each section you visit.

Most of the time they contain good information about products discussed in the section.

there are many post about what most parts do, what you get out of it, what u don't, how much power u get, how much power u wont get, etc...
if you've read thousands of post then u would've found out where to start.
start with an intake if u want your motor to sound louder, an injen CAI
and exhaust like stillen or fast intentions to make it much louder
high flow cats to make it stupid loud but will notice power gains (more than exhaust)
as far as chips, impul made a chip but is stupid expensive. unless u wanna go turbo and get a stand alone system like Terry ( the first guy on this forum and i think ever to put turbo in our sedans)
and for suspension, people love the H&R springs, gt-spec strut bar, and also H&R sway bars
if u want coilovers, attack racing, hks, jic, and bilstein made them for our cars
that's the layout
all u got to do is read every post on every thread u look at to know whats going on. if u don't understand something, PM the guy who posted the thread. im sure whoever it is will be happy to tell about the product
most of the threads are in the tech sections, also check out the DIY on how fix or apply mods and such
its not as hard as you think
dont be affraid to PM the guys on here either
we try to help as much as we can

goodluck

By the way.

LovelyMe-Why the hell would you need a nose mask? Is something wrong with you nose? Michael Jackson detachable nose syndrome?

I think the tech thread is a bit too complicating here. I'm not too familiar with the 07+ sedans, but I'm sure there are lots in the tech section that won't apply to the new sedans.

LovelyMe, my suggestion:

Before you even start thinking about mods, what do you want out of your car? Find a direction first. Otherwise, you'll just be wasting a lot of money on things you don't need, or want in the first place.

At least figure out if it's better handling, better steering response, more power, better throttle response (no, they don't always come hand in hand), more aggressive sound, or just a sportier feel that you want.

Once that's established, we can actually help you find what you're looking for... better at least.

Tech section for 07 Sedan https://g35driver.com/forums/tech-07-sedan-291/

Also as far as engine mods check out MyG37.com Tech area http://myg37.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17

Some of the mods are similar for sedans as well.

As for the "chip" or technically an ECU reflash, I believe the Uprev Osiris works with the HR motor, so that means the Cobb Tuning Accessport should work too. At least I think I remember seeing the new sedan on the dyno getting an Osiris tune... I'll be back to confirm this tomorrow... They're both very similar, only the Accessport gives you a hand held controller while the Osiris lets you switch maps through your cruise control switches.

But you won't see any great gains until you've taken out the biggest restriction in your exhaust - the catalytic converters. But don't get me wrong, you still can see better fuel mileage, smoother fuel and power curve (meaning better throttle response) and a few extra horses without any mods at all with a good dyno tune.

As far as the exhausts go, keep in mind that our cars do need the backpressure for the low end torque. In other words, if you open up the exhaust too much, you'll be transferring the powerband to the high end and won't have as much usable power in the lower RPMs.
