Windows giving out....

Hey guys, My windows have steadily been giving out until this morning they couldnt completely roll up on there own will. Taking it in tomorrow. But my question is if anybody has had this problem before? Is it possibly because of my window tint? Ive had the tint for over a year. It shouldnt be a problem right?

should'nt be many have tints, including me with no problems for a long time. Its probably the regulator if you can hear the motor trying to move the window, otherwise vice versa...

Iv been having the same problem! Its usually on and off though and happens sometimes but not all the time. I do have tints as well and was thinking that might be a factor. My slowest one is the drivers side window which sometimes stops half way up

I've had this problem twice and have owned this car for a year now. Each time i took it to the dealer, and they fixed it by lubing the window.

They didn't explain to me why this keeps happening.

Similar thing here. My driver window started going up slowly, so I thoroughly cleaned the inside - and it went back to normal.

Mentioned it to the dealer while I was there for the iKey recall, and they lubed all of the windows. Now they race up!

this didn't happen to be before i got the window tint...i think it's the extra thickness the tint adds and also the windows being a little dirty causing more friction doesn't help neither

i forgot to mention that i don't have any window tint on my car... so for those who do have the tint, that may not be the reason why it slows up.

What did u clean it with, and how did you go about doing it?

Sorry if it's a dumb question, i'm just trying to figure out what i can get in there to clean it out (aside from just spraying it down with a cleaner).

Same thing happened here. drivers front froze and shot back down. First time dealer just lubed the window rails with white spray.. 2nd time they replaced the motor. passengers is starting this again. (very disappointing)

Hmmm...trying to remember. Tint doesn't like ammonia-based cleaners, so I may have just wiped the inside down really well with a soft cloth (one of the polishing cloths for the G).

Update: I lubed it myself with WD40(ghetto, yes I know, but didnt wanna bother with 5 hours wait at the dealership) It worked perfectly but the Auto function on my driver window doesnt work so It looks like itll go to the dealership anyway.
