good suggestion. but if someone wants your wheels they are getting them. wheel locks are only good to stop someone like me who has the slightest idea on how to do it illegally.

quick side note on my other cars when i was getting a snow swap at the shop where i got the rims, i forgot my wheel lock key at my house, one of the workers there said no worry ill get you a whole new set if you dont care about these, i said ok w.e. goes into his car takes out some foreign tools by the time the car was fully lifted in the air by the lift one wheel was completely off.

another story is when i worked at a auto parts store all my lugnuts were locks, different sets, sounds wierd or stupid sure, but 50-100 dollar lock set x's 5 at a very low cost then why not. believe it or not we had this conversation while out somewhere this is all like at least 5 years ago, and how i said that i have 5 different locks, and we made a bet with my friends that they cant be taken off, called a friend that knows a friend w.e and came down within minutes my wheel was off.

^^ good story...i agree with the idea that wheel locks really aren't going to help your cause...i mean if they're taking wheels off your car, chances are that they know what they want to steal...it's not like they'll just say to themselves, oh let's go down the street to another G...no it's yours that they are after and it probably won't slow them down much...sucks what happened to you guys though, sorry...i hope they get busted or you get re-imbursed for those wheels

one of my good friends is a locksmith...he has a little key that has jagged edges in equal distance and length...he said if you have one of these keys for every kind of lock brand then you can practically break into any house or any door with a lock...it's a jig almost, and you stick this key into the keyhole and lightly tap the end of the with a wooden stick...it will release all the right combinations and open sesame...my point is, there are professional criminals out there who know what they're doing...wheel locks, house locks, or any kind of lock for that matter can be cracked when there is a professional behind it...

if its your average citizen who doesn't steal wheels, then yeah wheel locks are probably going to be a speed bump that takes some time to rummage around and find the key...with these criminals, they're prepared to do these kinds of missions in a matter of minutes...think about car audio, how long does it take to "properly" remove car audio...a lot longer than the to just rip it out of the dash...same with wheels, most of you properly do things unlike criminals...don't kid yourselves into thinking criminals take the same amount of time we do to do anything to cars...

man....sorry for those that got their shoes stolen...
hard to prevent..reminds me of my thread about "those that have expensive shoes..do u worry."

this is reminding me of my Honda.Acura days...my ex gf got her integra's rims stolen 2x. 1 aftermarket. 1 stock gsrs...then 3rd time they just plainly stole the car. man....

Check out these wheel locks

The Dency 2000 Wheel Nuts by KYO-EI, the same company that produces Kics spaces, utilizes and electronic magnetic key for superior theft prevention.

Electronic Key
Developed with leading manufacturer Miaw lock
Locks with powerful magnetic force, duplication would be very difficult
With the adoption of the ferrite magnet, high degree of safety
Because there is no key hole, makes it very hard to pick
Lightweight form for improved wheel balance.

Core Nut Key
Abundant lock pattern.
Preventing the slide with the form which thought of the dispersion of torque.
Super hard (SCM435) forging for increased durability
IMO they are the best on the market.
They have two locking mechanisms in place.
One is a magnet that removes the cap and then you need another key to remove the nut it self
By having a cap over the nut it makes a cap to spin freely without turning the nut So unless someone has the key to remove the cap there is no way they are getting to your lock.

You can find them on Ebay or I also found them on this site
