So I come down to get my car from an indoor garage and find a 3 inch gash on my door closer to the mirror (not caused by someone in garage I have my own spot). It's so deep and obviously not caused by a rogue rock chip...why would someone do that. I always park far away from everyone, never bang my doors against other cars or park my bumper on theirs.

Now I have to figure out what to do, there's no clear coat left in that spot, I think it's down to the primer. Any ideas? Sealant? Clearcoat? Wax/buff?

I wish I could once catch someone in the act and leave my own gash on them..burns me up on why someone would do that to a shiny new car.

 

I Feel your pain, i was devasted when i got my first one, but now it dont hurt that much, just get it fixed, and that should make u feel better a bit, as far as iv heard karma should deal with the person who did this

 

there is no reasoning to why people key cars...they are similar to serial killers...basically sociopaths, so there is no point in trying to understand why they did it...one of my ex-roommates from freshman year in college has done this to quite a few of my friends cars...he's one of those ****-faced grin kids that terrorize people behind their backs...people who key cars are just messed up in the head...sorry about your car though
