Baking the headlight isn't hard.

Preheat oven to 250*
Turn off oven
Place headlight on cookie sheet inside oven
Make sure the clear lens side isn't touching cookie sheet
Let sit for about 10 minutes
Remove with care, will be hot
Gently pry open housing

To remove the headlight, AFAIK you have to take off the front bumper cover.

Ok cool, but then how do you put the headlight back together again? do you use some sort of glue to put the 2 pieces together?

You re-heat it following the same instructions. You basically have to re-heat the glue that holds the two halfs together.

After you take it out of the oven, you stick the two pieces back together (and clamps would be preferred to ensure a good seal). You may also have to use clear silicone to prevent condensation/water leakage.

Are all the bolts located beneath the headlight?
Or are there some above it as well.

Ok wait so let me understand this. After you've painted the headlights you just re-heat it and use the original glue should hold it together?

I would of thought the original glue would have been painted over so it won't really hold well, or did you use clear silicone after painting and then re-heated it?

The headlight is made of several components: the two outer halves, an inner shroud portion, and other mechanicals. You only paint the shroud portion and not the outer parts.

Here is the shroud, which covers the projectors and lenses:

The "glue" really isn't glue per se, it's more like caulk in nature/look. You are able to pull it apart after baking and it generally holds its shape (when you put it back together in the end).

Ah ok I see, ok this makes more sense. When you say the two outer halves, I can understand that one would be the glass/plastic screen that goes on the front to cover the headlights but what would the other outer half be for?

and what did you use to paint the inne shroud?

Some pics of the blacked-out head lights back on the car would be nice.

The back half of the headlight is the grey portion:

SanMan!! He's really know all about this. Every step he said i agreed.
First of all i was going to put more Leds in there but second thought if some of the leds is burn out and the only way to replace is to take off again.
So i better leave it that way. What i suggest is to get a mask tape cover the front clear plastic to avoid all scratch.BTW i also add more silicon to sealed it.
Everything went perfectly.

Ok I've understood everything but what type of paint did you use and what color was it? was it a spray on paint?
