Just bought my 07 g35x sedan. Use to drive an 03 honda accord coupe. I know I know Rags to riches! Ok so heres the problem. On the first gear when i push it there is a rattle noise commin. Would you guys know what this is? 2nd & 3rd are fine. Its so annoying i hate any kind of noises specially when i just picked up this black stalion! Help Help Help

 

Where is the rattle coming from? I don't seem to remember having any rattles that are tranny related, but some have complained about a rattle coming from the steering column.

 

Heat shield on the exhaust maybe?

 

maybe some interior rattles which some of the guys here are having problems with.

 

I think it is the heat shield, but man shouldnt that be under warrenty? i dont know why the dealership is saying they will charge me for it! Its a Us car, in toronto.

 

I guessed the exhaust only because of this statement.
When I first installed my FI Exhaust, I had the same exact issue. Once I loosened everything up, tucked it up higher and tighened everything from the front back, the problem was resolved.

I think we need more clarification on what type of rattle is being heard. If it's metalic and only under hard first gear acceleration, my guess stands.

 

No, this should be under warranty... no question about it.
