Changed battery on Ikey and it no longer works..

So I got tired of looking at my Ikey Low battery warning so I bought a new battery... It was an ez process but when I tried using it.. It no longer works!

What gives? Am I scrwed? Is this something that is covered under warranty? or am SOL since I changed the battery? I put the old battery back and it still doesn't work.. My spare I key does work....

This SUX!!!!!!

Maybe something isn't making contact correctly? I'm sure you tried this but did you try flipping the battery over? Is the clip that holds the battery in place bent?

Many people (myself included) have done the battery change without issue. Must be frustrating. Let us know what you find out.

Did you try sticking it in the slot to the left under the steering column?

You know what I had a similar problem, just last week I changed my keyfob battery (right way around) and first time it didn't work at all. Next day it works but the low battery sign is still on. Even today (5 days later) it works but still gives me a low battery sign. It goes away as I start driving and I refuse to place it in the keyfob charged thing. Doe the car need a few days to adjust or something?

No... the car should immediately pick up on the new battery and everything should work correctly.
If you still get low battery alerts, try another battery. Maybe the one you bought was old or crappy.

Also, that port is only to start the car with a dead fob... it does not and will never charge anything.
Any sales guy who told you that should be brought around back and beaten.
Just my opinion, of course.

Yeah I know I didn't mean to call it the charging dock, and yes the sales guy at Infiniti did actually tell me it was for charging the keyfob, until I found out otherwise on driver. I will commence the beating...beathorse feel free to join
