This is not stated explicitly but towing is "assisting you on the roadside", can't hurt to ask.
yeah, also got towing to the dealership free of charge courtesy of infiniti roadside assistance... very happy overall with the experience

something similar happened to my G, car would studder, wouldn't accelerate when i pressed on the gas, then when it did it would jump, and then go back to limp... almost wanted to stall at every light (i have an auto by the way).... Ended up being bad gas, and the dealership didn't want to pay to fix it. Though they changed my fuel pump and spark plugs in the process of diagnosing the problem, then decided they wanted to charge me 2k for changing those parts though that wasn't the problem....

cool guys, well I'm calling the dealership first thing in the morning and I'm going to get this all worked out. I hope I don't have any problems since I'm not the original owner and I can't answer questions like "did you replace transmission fluid with non-nissan fluid", but we'll just see how it goes. It's just going to be such a hassle to do this tomorrow, I'm really irritated about it. I've had three cars before this one, all with at least 40,000 miles and driven up to 130,000 miles and I've NEVER had any problem like this, nothing bad enough that it was undrivable. Then I go and buy the newest car I've ever bought with only 18,000 miles on it and look what happens. Super lame.

The transmission fluid isn't due for replacement until 30,000 miles under "harsh conditions", I believe twice that normally, so at 20k there's no reason why it would have been replaced.

well if your rpms did not go up then its not your clutch IMO so should be thankful there probably somthing with fuel delivery system somewhere or ecu electronic issue, either way with a rather stock newish car the dealership should have you fixed up soon enough... hopefully!

Go to the dealer man. Your car is new. Some people think warranty work costs money, and it doesnt.

Just the other day i saw some dumbazz lady at Tiresplus with an 07 pontiac G6, 30k miles (i was eavesdropping) and she was mad because she had been in there 3 times and they hadnt fixed her ABS/Traction control problem.

I was so tempted to say somthing, but i didnt. Just take it to the dealer. It is FREE

I hear ya man. I'm not worried about it being free because I know that it is, I'm just saying that it's a big hassle for me to find the time to get the car towed and go to the dealer and maybe get a loaner. So if they need to keep it for more than a few hours, do they give me a loaner Infiniti right from them or do they set me up with a rental car or something, or does it vary from dealership to dealership? Thanks guys, I'll keep you posted tomorrow on what happens.

ya I called them this morning at 7:30 and the tow truck was here by 8:00, I was at the dealership at 8:30, out of there with my loaner G37 sedan (nice!) by 8:32, and back at my apartment by 9:00. It was the most effortless and seamless thing I've ever done. Tow truck guy was incredibly nice and talkative as was the service guy at the dealership. Hopefully it's just a bum sensor or something and I'll have it back tomorrow or the next day. I'll keep you guys posted on the status. Thanks for your opinions.

Yeah def. sounds like your clutch. It doesn't sound as if the clutch is worn because it wouldn't just suddenly happen. It sounds like something just went wrong in there with flywheel/clutch, etc. Definitely take it to the dealer.

If it was a worn clutch the symptom would be more that it slips under a lot of throttle, and it'd generally be something that starts out not so bad and gets worse and worse. At low throttle to have the entire thing not go is definitely not wear and tear but something broken.

Good luck

nah it's not the clutch. It's the driver's side MAF sensor. THere was a piece of debris wrapped around it (a wire or something) that caused it to fail. I'm having big FREAKING issues with it to because I just bought it from a place called Auction Direct (like a CarMax) about a month ago and the Infiniti dealership says that the air filters were recently replaced and that's when something must have gotten passed the filter and gotten attached to the sensor. So anyways, I'm 100% sure that Auction Direct changed the filters and caused this problem but the service guy there is an ******* and wants to have a look at the car before he gives the go-ahead to pay for the replacement part and labor ($588!!). So here's the problem, it's at the Infiniti place, I have a loaner, if I get it towed to Auction Direct for the guy to look at it, I have to turn in the loaner (now I have no car), then when the guys probably tells me that they didn't do it and aren't going to pay for it, I have to have it towed back to Infiniti and it's EFFING RETARDED. So what should I do?

I was thinking of having Infiniti fix it so I have a damn car, then taking the old MAF to Auction Direct and showing them that they either directly caused this problem or failed to catch it in there one billion point inspection prior to selling the car to me.

I wouldn't let Auction Direct touch that car again unless you are standing right beside it.
If they did in fact F it up the first time, I certainly wouldn't trust it to them again.

dude, I hear ya and I COMPLETELY agree! The only problem is that if I do let them look at it I could potentially save some mad dough. I mean how do I "prove" that they're the ones that messed it up. I mean I haven't opened the intakes up and there NO way a wire gets passed a filter unless it happened while the filters were removed, aka, when being replaced. But all they have to say is that they didn't replace the filters and then they're free. what do i do man? I guess I could just let Infiniti fix it and bite the bullet on the $600, but that **** would **** me off for me to have to pay for Auction Directs STUPID EFF UP you know?

sorry for cussing and such, but as you can imagine I'm very angry...

ya that's what I'm doing. The Infiniti service guy I was dealing with yesterday (GREAT guy) actually had the guys stay last night and finish my car. I'm getting ready to go pick it up right now and I already had a talk with the guy and he's going to put a detailed description of how the sensor was when I brought it in and how it could have only happened when replacing the filters. He's also going to give me the jacked up sensor. I'm gunna TRY to get Auction Direct to cover this for me but I'm probably going to have to go over the service manager's head because he's an a$$hole. Anyways, if anyone's interested, the Auction Direct in Raleigh, NC has a fantastic sales staff, great deals on cars, but the service department isn't that outstanding simply because I think they're unprofessional and rude, just my opinion.

Thanks for your guy's help, I'll report back when I get everything handled with Auction Direct.
