Gear Grind with Paddle Shifter

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this:

With my installed paddles, it feels like the gears are grinding sometimes when I am shifting, especially downshifting. When upshifting, the car will lurch, but on downshifting, it feels like the gears grind. For example, I am slowing down for a turn and want to get into a lower gear to power out of the turn. Maybe I should release the gas pedal completely for 1+seconds before downshifting?

Seems like most of the issue happens between 2nd and 3rd gear.

Anyone else have this? are there some rules to shifting with paddles?

Are you downshifting in D or DS modes, I think there may be a difference but not sure? Do you have the throttle upgrade on your 07? Mine is an 08. There is one spot around 20 mph or so on my car where it acts a little bit weird when shifting from 3rd to 2nd and also when it does its own upshift.

I find that it appears to act different if the shift takes place when it a turn versus on the straight. If I shift in a round about or when making a turn (seems to be more right hand related) at around 20 it will act like it doesn't really know what it wants to do. But I have found that if I shift it while still on the straight that all is basically good. Typically just before entering a round about (all around here seem to be 20 mph limit) I will downshift into 2nd while in 'D' mode. It will stay there unit exiting the round about without any issues and it is fairly smooth.
