2008 G35xS...Going to maintenance my car this weekend and have read various different amounts of fluid.

My book doesn't seem to actually say how much is in there.

At the 8-10 bucks a quart, I'd prefer to buy just what I need.

Also...any brand suggestions besides the J/S that Infiniti suggests?

Are you planning on doing a full flush (about 12 quarts), or just a refresh (about 4 - 5 quarts) ??

BTW, You pretty much need a machine to do a full flush.

I WOULD NOT recommend you use anything but the Matic-S that is recommended ( J isn't available anymore). Yes, it is expensive, but so is your transmission.

 

Ah ok, this makes sense. I was hearing 4-5 and 10-11. Folks were calling 4-5 a flush when it really isn't.

Yea, I'm thinking I need to do a full flush. Time to call up my buddy at the shop.
