I kinda want to do it later on.

I think it'll look fine, it'll just depend on how you do it.

I think you should paint it as black chrome and get a good set of rims that goes well with everything. I want to paint the grille and the chrome around the windows but keep the trunk piece. I love that chrome piece. lol.

I think it would look great. I'm thinking of doing the same thing. If you want to get an idea for a little while, just use black vinyl tape to cover up the chrome trim and see how you like it. If you do, you can have the trim professionally painted.

for fun, the rear trunk chrome finisher without camera is $212.85 MSRP... my forum price would be $159.64 plus shipping...

All the door trim mouldings (10 Front and Rear, upper and lower on front door, upper, lower, and rear on the rear door) are $500 for my forum price...

I will do them for $505 Shipped for forum members out side of california
$540 Shipped IN california (includes sales tax).

As far as getting them painted, the body shop I work with is farily expensive for things like this... but it can be done...

To give an idea... MSRP is $666.12 for all the mouldings. But most dealers mark UP from MSRP...

Jason, how much do you think the body shop you work with would charge to paint match the chrome lip? Not asking for a quote, but just an estimate to get an idea of what the total cost for the project would be.

I am not sure... I think it would be safe to say around $350-$400 for a more expensive job... But I am going to ask my body shop today and see what they would do...
