Yeah I know ....I decided I wanted to keep the top and bottom chrome strips to tie in with the chrome in the black housings.

Here's the nite pics. I was surprised how bright they really are. It is hard to get a far away shot with the camera, but they do look as individual LED dots from quite far away.

I am going to switch to a white LED in the corner markers as well. I had stealth bulbs in my Titan and they burned out right away.

It cost me more in shipping than the bulbs were worth in the first place so I chalked it up to a "do not buy again" experience.

The oven method works best. Preheat to 200 degres F and then 9 minutes in the heat. You want to make sure you remove the 4 small trim screws and all the little extra trim parts to make the pulling apart easier. Also you have to use a wood cutting board or something like that to put the lights on. They can't touch any metal in the oven or they will be damaged. I had to remove all the racks except the bottom one to get the headlight to fit. One was done at a time.

hey g35s_6gear, do you think you'll get harassed at all for not having an amber reflector in the front of the car?

Blacked out headlights...

Awesome look g35_6gear!

Perhaps a stupid question, but how did you black them out? Paint? If so, what type of paint is needed? Looks really good. I like it better than the smoke overlays.

Not at all. Cops around here are chasing ricey Civics and stunting streetbikes. I honestly don't think a cop would ever even notice. They look stock and I don't think cops would ever expect modified headlights in a luxury car.

You have to take the lights apart and paint the inned chrome bezel. The headlight actually has a grey plastic housing, a chrome inner bezel, and a clear plastic front. The chrome bezel screws into the back of the clear plastic front. I used a Krylon semi-gloss trim paint. It is inexpensive and has the right amount of gloss for my taste. Thanks for the props.
