i've had good luck with eBay's McCulloch's HID replacement bulbs, they're around $90 shipped for a pair for wahtever color you want.
As for retrofit kits, I'm pretty sure 90% of the kits on the market are generic chinese made, so why pay more for something else generic? I've gotten Xentec kit (they have a slim ballast which is awesome) kits for like $80 shipped and has worked very well. Has 1 or 2 years warrantee and worst case, you can buy another kit for the same price as one of the other expensive kits. Just an FYI.
For generic car parts, eBay is your best friend, it's pointless to pay for overpriced generic crap. Just because a vendor sells it, doesn't mean it's not generic and that you should pay more to put their kids through college.

I actually don't have any night shots. My 6000K looks just like any other 6000K bulb. I'm sure if you search you'll fine some pictures. As for the hid kit, it's actually on my accord. that 6000K matches my oem 6000K hid very well. Maybe mine is a lil bluer since it's older and is a lil more burnt up. as for link to where i bought em
here are the McCulloch bulbs i have: This seller offer 12 months warrantee

This is a sample of the Xentec slim ballast retro-fit HID for the fog: I have the regular ballast, not the slim, but should work the same
