When painting your grill black...

Can you use regular paint (the indoor/outdoor type)? or does it have to be car paint brand?

Thanks in advance.

you can use any paint but for the best results and looks go with an actual paint color for a car. The reason i say this is because it will shine and look alot better than if your spray paint it. The texture and glossyness combined with the clearcoat will give you a smile on your face.

but if you dont have access to all the materials needed to do a professional job i guess spray paint and/or a paint brush will work.

I just bought Krylon Indoor/Outdoor spray paint. Glossy black and clear coat.

I hope this is good enough? I know ckp jused Dupli brand.. which is a brand specific for cars.. im wondering if this is absolutely necessary if were just painting the grill.

Im wondering... if its more technique or actual "paint" that makes the difference with luster and even coating.

I'd be real careful and make sure you know how to spray paint well. A bunch of light coats are waaaaay better than a thick coat. Practice on a piece of wood before doing it.

What's funny is that when you said, "regular indoor/outdoor paint" I laughed because I though you were talking about interior/exterior WALL paint (like what you paint your house with).

I thought about that actually... hehe practice before I actually do it on my actual grill. The last thing I want is to screw things up and have a nasty looking grill :S
