HID Bulbs from HP autoworks Sale! $89

Hey guys,
I've been reading through these forums for a while looking for replacement bulbs for my HIDs, the only ones that seem to be recommended are the Philips ones, but they are kinda pricey so i know people have gotten some off random ebay sellers.

Well I found out that Hpautoworks are selling replacement bulbs too (OEM SPEC) and reading off the myg37 board they seem to be very popular. I contacted Andy from Hpautoworks directly about these bulbs and I got them because they seem to be made in a very high quality fashion and it's backed by 5years!! of warranty. The other thing that is great about them is that you get to choose what kelvin to get(6000k-12000k), I got 6000k for a color that is white with a slight tint of blue. Also if you guys are interested Andy said that we can get them off hpautoworks and if we use paypal and type G35 FORUM in the notes when you pay he can get them shipped to you for $89. They were going for 160 before.

Mine are in the mail and so I'll write a review here with before and after pics when i get them! AHHH i CAN'T WAIT.

BTW if you want the link to check it out.

I love my G's lights, I couldn't imagine the light output being better. Would brighter mean oncoming traffic is also blinded more?

They will not be brighter, they will be significantly dimmer than stock, like 25+% dimmer

Well not that much dimmer but it'll be a bit dimmer i have friends with 6000k bulbs but your headlights look better then the yellowish ones, some people think they see more too but there are less lumens as the kelvins go up.

The philips ultinon 6000k(5800k) are 25+% dimmer than stock. (2400 lumens vs. 3200-3400 lumens) so unless this generic HID brand found a way to make their bulbs better than philips, they will have similar output, or their color won't be 6000k

Not if you know how to aim headlights

If the Philips Ultinon HIDs only produce 2400 lumens and you people are paying $150 for them, you are ALL getting ripped off. Apexcone 6000k 35watt bulbs produce 3200 lumens and 8000k produce 3100 lumens and a set of replacement bulbs go for $60

Well I have no idea how many Lumens the ones from hpautoworks are but I know that a whole bunch of people have gotten them on myg37 and really liked it, whatever, They're on sale now and you get 5 years of warranty, so I don't have to worry about them burning out or overheating and melting my housing or anything.

And i'll post review once i get them and installed.

fixed.
Remember these are the same type of people who claim intakes give 20hp on ebay to make a quick buck. Do you really believe that these made in china generic bulbs can somehow miraculously produce the same output as a product that has been optimized at 4300k by a company that actually has an R&D department?

^ Agreed.
The lumens are always based on the color temperature, as the kelvin raises the lumens drop, you can't magically add lumens to a bulb as you please; it's basic science.

A lot of companies just make these claims to make a quick buck since they know 90% of their customers probably wouldn't even notice the difference.

+1 Claiming is easy but delivering the claim is the hard part.

So would, say, sylvania, or phillips, 5000k bulb be slightly brighter, or whiter than stock?? or would i even notice? as far as lumens go. the stock headlights are actually one of the main reasons i like, and bought my car. lots of night driving....

philips 5000k would be whiter, and ~200 lumens dimmer than stock, not a huge amount. A good compromise. Contact IvoryGT(forum sponsor) for pricing, he may have some in stock
