I doubt the paint it's 100% after the vinyl is taken off.... I had a buddy vinyl his accord, and after the vinyl was removed (i think it was on 2 years) What ever was under the vinyl didn't look right. Seemed like the adhesive etched itself into the clear...

 

He used calender film vinyl didn't he? Use cast vinyl, and you won't have that problem.

 

i have no idea what he used.... It was the vinyl graphics that people used to put on their cars. He had the one that looked like a hole bunch of Dashes, that got thicker as you went back...
