6MT Shift **** removal....!

When the factory installs those ***** they are not intended to come off.
They are installed using thread locker so to remove it will take some strength
and a rag/vice grips for the lower section, a rag and pliers for the ****. The
rags are so you don't damage what your working on....

^ that's what is deterring me from changing *****.
I'd really like to change out the shift boot to something nicer as well...

Yea, me too. I wish somebody made something like LeatherZ (http://www.leatherz.com/Merchant5/merchant.mvc) does for BMW, for Infiniti. There are a lot of places I would change.

Has anyone replaced their **** yet in an 07+ sedan?

^ you read my mind...
LeatherZ make great products & I fattened their wallets several times when I had my MZ4.

One of the lucky ones

I think it depends on how much thread lock gets put on.
I'll give mine a try eventually.
