Need help in removing chrome emblems off my 2008 G35 Sedan!

Hi, I am new to this site and thought you guys might help me out. I am looking forward to removing the chrome INFINITI and G35 emblems from the back of my sedan. I know how to do it(correct me if I am wrong I don't want to mess up a brand new car). Use a hair drier and hold it to the emblems for a minute or two, then use dental floss to remove the emblems, and use goo gone to get any leftover glue. After all that do I need to wax my car? or just a good wash?

and any help on how to use the goo gone, what kind of cloth to put it on and just rub on till the glues off??

PLEASE HELP thx

I did exactly what you said. I used a 100% cotton cloth with the goo gone. I always clay bar'd the car after all that. Good luck, looks great with that gone!

No, clay bar it and wax it. Clay bar is not a wax.

Ok, and how would I use the clay bar? Is there something it comes with or should I just rub it on the car and then wax?

Also what kind of wax do you recommend?

clay bar comes with detail spray and use that first, then use clay bar... it should slide easily... turn over clay bar ofter to rid dirt

Clay bar is for removing contaminants.

from the car's finish. In this case it should be used after the goo gone.

If you are doing the entire car, then you can claybar after washing by using the soap as a lubricant. Then polish and wax.

Some people recommend that you wash the car after you clay bar, but in my opinion that is not necessary.

I usually use Mothers clay bar, but you should experiment.
