no shame with that, hell I considered lifting it back up a few times myself already.

Let me be honest guys, if you want comfort, ability to comfortably drive passengers, not hit little road glaciers (as you'll only have about 4" clearance)...do yourself a favour and don't drop it.

It's not an ugly car to begin with, and yeah, it's a big wheel gap, but who cares, it's a G and as my girlfriend says it (it's shiny).

Just want you guys to realize that a drop sacrifices comfort and practicality, especially if you live in more rural areas.

^ excellent points.....
I haven't followed many AWD drop threads,
but is anyone dropping onto Regular G springs?

I know it's not much of a drop, but it does bring it out of the clouds
& still maintain decent clearance.

Good idea Ian. I don't know anyone that has tried it.That might be worthwhile trying.

The G35S sits lower than the G35X? My neighbor thought my car (stock) looked lower than the X (what most have around my parts) but I thought that was just the front bumper and side skirts making it look like that--anyone know for sure? I think Infiniti can claim "sport suspension" merely from larger sway bars. I would think lower springs would mean beefier struts/shocks, no? I don't think they would go that far.

The X does sit higher than the Journey and the S. If you check the specs, you will see the difference ( I forget how much). InTgr8r and I have parked side by side and my X is definitly taller than his S or Journey.

I've thought about this. It's too easy to find Sport springs, with everyone dropping their cars.
My issue is that with an "S" drop, I'm afraid all always want just a little bit more.

I have a strong feeling that is exactly what is going to happen.

Also, you wont get the performance that your gonna get out of eibachs or something similar to that.

To add to Aeson's comment above, the S and Journey have the same OEM springs (i.e. same part number).

Also, the "sport suspension" is basically different struts/shocks and the sway bars.

Stillen has the Eibachs on sale for $230- but they say that they won't fit the X.

There are two kits available. One excludes the X but another includes it.

This is wrong. Sorry. Dont pay attention to this.

I got 33.5cm to 34cm from top of center cap to bottom lip edge (driver side tended to be .5cm lower, guess my driveway's a bit off-level.

soooo, the spacers gave me 15-20mm or 0.6"-.08" lift in the rear. nothing dramatic, but a bit more leveled out in the front.

Eibach doesn't have springs for the X, you just use the ones posted for the regular G, they fit perfect. it's only coilovers that wont work for the x as our front shock has a huge fork to allow the shaft to pass through it.

Genius

Here's a great idea for you X boys wanting less front wheel-gap AND more levelled with the rear, but not too low.

Just install the sport front springs only!
you'll reduce the gap in the front AND it will sit level with the rear (as the rear X springs are a bit higher than the regular/S springs).

Someone do this, I want to see it.

This is what is quoted on the eibach website:

G35, Sedan, 3.5L V6
(Incl. "S", Exc. AWD)
PRO-KIT (PERFORMANCE LOWERING SPRINGS) 1.4 in 1.3 in 6383.140

I wonder why it says "exc. awd" if in fact, its okay to use for awd? hmmmmmm...

i've been dropped on Eibachs for 1.5 years. i've run into no problems thus far. im sure Stillen/Eibach put that on their website b/c there are no X's to test the springs out there. there are a bunch of X's in this sub section that have dropped their G's on Eibachs so they probably will chime in
