07+ g35 sedan mirror cover removal

anyone have any experience removing the mirror cover? im referring to the main painting one, not the little one under mirror assembly.

my mirror is busted and im trying to salvage the cover so i can put it on the new mirror assembly. the cover comes unpainted from dealer.
