Decreasing road noise

Thought i would share a very inexpesive way to cut road noise in half....08g35x

1. I took off all 4 wheels( one at a time) then out came the wheel well cover

2. Then inserted a layer of SPL tiles from second skin audio on the underside of the wells...

3. Then i used peel and seal roofing materal for 2-3 layers inside the wheel using spray adhesive,

4. then i sealed then rest with a rubberized spray undercoating 4 coats

5. then i gave 2 coats of undercoating to wheel well liner itself both sides

6. put it back together... cuts road noise in half at 70mph, probably cost less than 100 or so.(tho it prob added 20# to the weight of the car)

This Can be done in one day too! I was quite suprised that is worked so well, its now lexus quiet without any of the soft handling, ( and now my bose systems sounds so much better)

New tires would have accomplished this as well, but that costs about 800$ and my Khumos still have 75% tread left, On the highway you only really hear wind noise which is very minimal

You can also go to a Ziebart or something and they can do a noise deadening spray for around $150, they spray the underside of the car and the wheel wells.

Do you guys have Ziebart in the states? It might be more money I got special pricing from a friend who owns one, might be a little more. I road in a charger(srt8) that had it done and it was kind of sad that I couldn't hear the exhaust, but it was a very comfortable level inside the car.

I haven't put my new wheels on yet, but they have continental sport tires that almost look like slicks, I am worried they are going to sound load as hell so I might be doing this. I am trying to cut weight on my car though

Couple snap in fastners, (3) 10mm bolts, a few screws. Not trying to be a smart **** but if you take your wheels off and look under there you'll figure it out.
