I just installed some HID fog lights, I just need to know where to mount the ballasts.

Can someone who's installed HIDs to chip in and let me know where the installed theirs?

 

I mounted mine under the rubber running along the top of the fender, kinda tucked inside the top fender lip.

For my Fog HID Kit, I took my time, and routed all the wires neatly, and mounted the ballats on the frame or near the Factory headlight housing for a clean, neat Install! Can not even tell I have a HID Kit for my Fogs. I took ff the front wheels, removed the Plastic fender liners, and in that area u can find some places to neatly mount and run your wires. this way takes time, but is a more prefessional looking job. or u can mount it in your engine bay, but there's not alot or area's to mount the ballasts, and it looks ugly in plain view! Hope this helps.

 

What did you mount it with? It comes with that double sided tape which I don't trust.

 

Sorry no pics, The way i mounted mine u cant see it at all either. And no I didnt use double stick tape, mine came with a bracket which i bolted down with a fender bolt. I would put double stick tape under it jus to pad the ballast from bouncing.

 

See where the silver info plate is on the passenger side? Im pretty sure thats where braddahjon mounted his too. You can see the wires coming out.
