Adjusting my hood

Ok... So this is a stupid question. I already know that. But like most of you out here I like to do things myself. So here it goes anyway. The right side of my 07 G35 Sedan's hood is not locking into the latch when I close the hood. It was warped somehow and just does not close right. Is there a way to adjust the hood so that it closes correctly and locks into place?

Does it sit down level or is it sitting high on that corner?

I have adjusted the tensioners on both sides to try and level everything out and to get the latch to lock but it does not. The hood does sit a little higher on that side now even with the tensioner all the way down.

When you say tensioner do you mean the latch? If you have moved the latch down it's possible the rubber stops are preventing it from closing enough to catch the latch.

Have you adjusted the rubber stops?

When I say "Tensioner" is was meaning the rubber stops. I took it to the dealership today and they said it would have to go to the body shop to be realigned. dont know if warranty will cover this or not. Anyone know how to realign a hood DIY?

If you weren't in any kind of front end accident, they have to cover it under warranty. Let them do it if that's the case.

You don't want to know.
You would freak out if you saw how they do it.

HAHA. I knew it was something easy to deal with.

So I drove past a paint and collision center today and decided to stop in to talk. After talking with him for a bit and looking at the problem for a few minutes, he said he should be able to fix it pretty easily. He had is body guy take a look at it> 5 minutes later drove back around with my car and it was fixed. He then took the time to show me what was wrong and how to adjust it in the future. He asked for $80 originally, then said just to give him $40 since it didnt even take an hour.

No it was not the rubber adjusters. It is the U shaped latch on the right and left corners of the hood. They have round "clips" that pop off and then you can unscrew the U bracket to give or take depth to allow the latch to catch. That was what I had to do.

I added these picture for reference. Sorry for the bad quality. I took them on my Blackberry.
