How to black out window trim?

The chrome window trim and Garnet don't really go well together. Is there an easy way to remove and paint or is there a better way to get this blacked out?

Thanks.

Yep that's what I did, bought some black vinyl strip and had someone stick them over the chrome, he didn't do a great job but it's good enough for now, I'm planning on re-doing a few areas.

Yeah I covered mine with gloss black vinyl. Mine came out great, but you really need to know what youre doing to have it come out good.

I chose to buy sheets (from a roll) of vinyl instead of strips. It gives you more control and less bending and stretching of strips. You can buy vinyl by the foot from any local sign shop.

I had mine painted. I think it looks a lot better. Plus it's permanent.
