Anyone try LED fog liight bulbs in their G?

I have been trying to figure out what to do with my fog lights in my new G. I am sick of having the yellowish fogs mixed in with the beautiful HID beams and have read alot of pro and cons of various halogen bulbs. I came across a thread on another car forum where someone just threw in the LED 9006 bulbs into their driving/fog lights. Of course I know that LED fogs will not give very usable light output but I am just looking for a better cosmetic appeal. What do you guys think?

Im not sure what you mean...By yellow in my original post, I meant the crappy off-white color that the factory fog halogen bulbs put out.

Ill pass on the LED's they most of the time cause glare, and are meh. Expensive and will get hot inside the housing = dead LED soon.

They make them in different wattages which give off a different hue in light.

the stocks are 4300k i believe. The yellow fogs are 3000k which are yellowish. If you put a 6k or 8k in your going to make the lights appear more blue. 10k will give you purple and so on.

LEDs are very efficient and don't really get hot whatsoever. I can guarantee the stock bulb gets much hotter than a group of LEDs do. I know these will just light up the fog light spot and not really shine on the road, Im just looking for an option besides the stock halogens and dont feel like messing with HIDs anymore.

Screw it, give it a shot. See how they look, take pics, share the experience.

For $10-15 ebay, I might just grab em and throw em in. I am not even using my fog lights currently because I hate how crappy they look.

Yellow fogs is more for honda... I haven't seen a g35 with yellow fogs. I think it wont look right cus of the way our headlights are. But give it a try.

Yellow fogs on the G = YUCK! As GED stated, our fogs are integrated into the headlights so it would look pretty nasty.

Personally, i think the "fogs" in our sedans are useless both from a functionality and aesthetic standpoint. When turned on the whole housing just looks oddly lit up. I much prefer the "dot" from the projectors. If you're really bothered by it, why not just turn it off?

That said, you can replace it with LED's, but whiter halogen bulbs will much likely work better for you. LED's are harder to match color-wise and as already mentioned they can burn out easily.

I have a before/after pic of it here (near the end of my first post). Used the band-aid for a couple of weeks. It's fun for a while but gets old fast.

I have LED fogs since they are the DRL's in Canada. They look really good compared to the OEM bulbs - but there is no useful light output in the dark - but that can pretty much be said for the stockers too.
