Interior Chrome Trim - 2010 G35 v.s 2007 G35

I was in my friend's brand new 2010 G37X and I couldn't help but notice that the interior chrome trim along the door panels, dashboard and center console are a darker graphite color compared to the lighter brushed nickel look of the 2007 model.

Question: Is there any way to get that darker trim for the 2007 model year? Will the 2010 trim fit on our vehicles? What's the cost of replacing them and is it easy enough to do on our own?

Thanks

PJStyles

show us the pix!!!

Well, if you want to change the color you can always take them off and send it to the paint shop. I did that to my interior and i am hoping to get rid of my chrome on the doors. I want to black them out. They would look better and cleaner.

I have heard from several people that they prefer the 07.

I need to get another good look up close of the 10.

I kinda already asked this question.

But I did not care about the trim color or finish but rather how cool the center console looks.

No one has gone out and changed it... so far.

IMO

The washi finish is way better looking and does not show scratches so easily.

Well, if you don't like it here is an idea you might like. I took mine out and sent it to the body shop and had it painted the same color as the car. i took everything out, even the door pulls to make it match

^^^ It's holding up nicely. Of course i am always impation and wanted on the car sooner so i put a couple of scratches on it. But other then that it's awesome. Clear coat is what's protecting it.

I appreciate everyone's opinion on their preference and tastes. I, however, do much prefer the darker finish of the chrome trim in the 2010 models - looks way classier and rich in my view.

So back to the original question at hand: Will the 2010 trims fit on the 2007 G35 model year and if not, is there any place where I can find replacement trim options for the G35?

Thanks

You can always sit at the dealer w/ a measuring tape and measure everything out.

As for me the 07-08 washi aluminium is the best trim you can get! And it is the only trim you could left some scratches on and don't ever notice
