Anyone else have this problem

Does anyone else have this problem or just me,my interior is always smelling like mildew,i just got back from bein away for a month and my car was at the house and when i got back theirs mildew on the passenger side floor board and their was condensation on the side of my seats where the seat adjustment buttons are.And even alot of times when i have the air on it just smells like mold,im wondering if the interior or exterior seals around the windows are faulty. If anybody else has this issue feedback is much appreciated.

My car smells like weed and cigarettes. No, I don't smoke!

Where do you live? That sounds gross

You might want to lift up all your carpets. My previous car did the same thing except the smell got worse by day and eventually I figured out that condensation was building up under my carpet and got super moldy. That may be the odor you are experiencing...if you find mold I'd call in the professionals- mold can kill ya

You don't say what year mileage or location, although I'm guessing a 2007. A mildew smell can be caused by a mold or mildew buildup on the AC evaporator. I haven't seen too many mentions of this problem on this forum but that has been a major issue on American cars. There was a TSB from Chrysler, some time ago, to put a spray into the air intake in the cowl while the AC was running. Similar chemicals are now available from auto parts stores.

The results from this TSB were less than spectacular and most of the time, the AC evaporator had to be replaced. If you're under warranty or have a service contract, it should be covered. If not, try the spray. That's providing you don't find the cause of the smell elsewhere.

Good luck...

Mike

Have your door seals inspected and or replaced too... my dealership told me there have been a lot of reports of faulty door seals. All 4 of mine have detached. You may not even know it but if it does detach moisture gets in.
