Steering Column Cluster Rattle - At My Wit's End!

I've had my vehicle in the dealership 4 different times to try and solve a rattle issue with the cluster cover for the sterring column. They've replaced the entire cluster and still a rattle. If you take your finger and flick the top cover part of the steering column upwards, you hear what I hear every single time I drive this vehicle.

When I say cluster cover, I'm referring to the piece that is attached to the steering column that matches the dash and has the buttons on it to switch the backlight brightness as well as toggle through the menus on the display.

It feels like it's loose somehow but they've assured me it's not and now I'm starting to hate this car. Has anyone experienced this and what did you do to fix this? I've given up on the dealership finding the true cause/issue.

I'm prepared to try and fix this myself. The last invoice where they attempted to fix the problem has the following information:

VC28AA RPL CLUSTER LID "C" 1 x 68240-JK61A LID

If you've come across this issue and were able to resolve it, I'm all ears. Almost wish someone would jus steal the damn vehicle LOL

I've got a similar issue I'm dealing with and I can't pinpoint where it is coming from.

I haven't brought it to the dealer yet, though.

I've practically given up. I've had it into the dealership 3 times, they even replaced the entire cluster cover. I have a feeling that they just haven't tightened it enough because the whole cluster/column cover is flimsy. With a little bit of pull or tug on the top of it, you can easily move it around somewhat.

If you find out what it is, please let me know because the noise is slowly driving me to drink.

Thanks

I had a similar issue... It seems the back edge of the cluster was rubbing against the dash and it squeeked/rattled. I ended up spraying some dupont silicone sprat between the backside of the cluster and the dash and it solved the problem. That was 4 or 5 months ago and still no squeeks.
