Roof Spoiler Issues

Ok, this is pissing me off. I've had to retape my roof spoiler 3 times so far in the last 4 months. Twice with 3M tape from Autozone and once with VHT. Each time it starts coming up in the corners then the tape seperates from the glass in spot and from the spoiler in others. I know I'm not doing anything wrong when I install it, so what can my problem be?

Is there any residue on the window?
I usually let the car sit out in the sun for 20 min, the heat will help with adhesion.
Then clean the glass with a lint free rag & rubbing alcohol.
I used this stuff on my rear spoiler.
Amazon Amazon
Super strong. That spoiler ain't budging.
I got it at Home Depot.

Perhaps it's the roof spoiler itself. Without any adhesive, how well does it form to the surface? If gaps are large, then maybe the curvature is too much to hold and thus the reason why it's coming off. As irishsig mentioned, cleaning is crucial. You must make sure that it's clean as possibly so you have maximum contact. Have some friends help you out and hold down the spoiler for a few minutes to ensure contact.

I used 3M tape and has kept the roof spoiler on for 6 years.

Ensure the surface is cleaned thoroughly and temp should be above 70 F for better results.

Apply pressure for a few minutes when installing spoiler.

3 dabs of clear silicone adhesive on the ends and middle will lock that thing down. Its also really not bad to remove either when time comes.

I do have some gaps on the ends but I wouldn't think they're big enough to keep doing this.

I'll try the silicone adhesive also. Thanks guys.

I used windshield sealant AND 3M on my CF VIS roof spoiler and haven't had any problems.

Try scuffing the adhesion points on the spoiler with 600 grit and clean it well with alcohol or degreaser and try to apply it on a warm day... Make sure whatever you use that you let it fully dry or evaporate before applying double sided tape... That should do the trick!
