Heated & Cooled Seating

Hey guys. I have been looking around and tracking through the forum but not a lot of information is given out about either doing a swap for Heated & Cooled Seating or just options in general to have availability of cooled seating. I was wondering if anybody has any information they would like to bring to the forum on this matter. Also i have had a chance to check around and found Viotek Tru-Comfort Heated and Cooled Auto Seat Cushions and was wondering if anybody has looked into them or experienced them first hand. Thanks.

I've never sat in a car with cooled seating. Is it that nice? I imagine it would require setting up something like a radiator inside the seat.

It's an option in bmws to have ventilated seats as well as heated seats but it's just a fan and does not have cooling ability. Not many cars have actual cooled seats. I'm sure Mercedes does tho. But at the end of the day, do u really need it? I just live with having a sweaty butt

I have cooled seats in my truck, it helps a bit but it's just blowing air, not refrigerated air.

Aw, that's gay. I was always under the impression that there was some sort of venting from the AC that actually cooled the seats

Sadly no. It came with the options package, I wouldn't go out of my way to specifically select the option....meh is my opinion of cooled seats.

I thought the newer infinitis have cooled seats?! It would be a nice feature for the summers to prevent swamp ***.

My wife's Hyundai has heated and cooled seats... and they are amazing. If kinda feels like you are peeing your pants but in a good way. Cool and relaxing.

When the heating /cooling feature stops working or breaks, I'm sure it will be crazy expensive to fix.

^^ Not on a Hyundai.

An entire replacement seat with track, heated/cooled from Azera is $1437. Just the lower heated cushion assembly is $271. (according to hyundaiparts123.com)

On G37s the lower cushion assembly alone with heater, is $4,785. (according to infinitipartsusa.com) I actually had mine replaced under warranty on my G37 due to leather bubbling 6 months after I bought it (common issue). Just to replace the cushion (no heater, motor, track ect) was $2100.

Anybody have any thoughts about Viotek Tru-Comfort Heated and Cooled Auto Seat Cushions as a good option for our vehicles besides doing wiring and seat swap?
