08 Headlight shroud diameter?

Ive searched and tried to find this but couldnt find an answer to this question, i saw someone ask it but it ended with them being talked out of installing their halos due to LED and heat issues

im aware of the heat issues with LED's and im willing to try it out with some high quality halos

My question is, does anyone know the diameter of the outside of our chrome headlight shroud?

The halos im looking into getting are these :
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/led...4.html#reviews

Im assuming its either 70mm 80mm or 90mm but i dont want to pull the trigger on buying them cracking open my headlights to find that i need a different size, ive already done my headlights once where i painted the insides flat black, i want to add some halos next so i want to open them up again to install them and maybe clean up a little bit in there, does anybody know what size is the best to fit the outside of the shroud? Ill be using just one halo in each light, i like the look of that better than trying to squeeze two rings in each light

any input or help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

What is it you want to see?

The stock shrouds aren't LED ring friendly but the XB/XC series are an amazing set of halos that run at only 1*C above ambient. They won't melt on stock headlamps (oh but the solder....? It is fine to about 100*C lol). The XCs are a lil more ricey when it comes to looks .

I would like to do that to my lights as well, so by taking pics and maybe a DIY from you Im hoping to use it as a reference tool for someone like me whos a total noob when it comes to wiring these to the lights and to the switch on the car. So if possible maybe we will see one from you soon?

yes staskz those are the lights im referring too, i guess i will try the 80mm and see what we get!
i have no problem taking a few pics to allow for a DIY, it just may take me some time thats all haha

ill be ordering the rings soon! a few other things take precedent though, just did my battery yesterday and im doing brakes next week

i also noticed a fingerprint or two on the inside of my lenses and from what i have read it is because of the UV protectant sprayed on the inside of the lens, also from what ive read the only way to get rid of that is to polish the entire inside of the lens which can be a pain in the ***, but ill probably end up going for it anyways, im a detailer so im very familiar with polishing, ill keep you updated with any progress i make

Which RGB's? The XC LED's? If so those will last a good amount of time.
