Next Event...Hawaii Cannonball Run
Things are slowly being put in order for the next event, hopefully scheduled for November. Dave, Geo, Fred, and myself are meeting regularly over the weekends for a possible Cannonball run/Fundraiser. Hawaii G owners are welcome to come down with ideas for the next event. Next meeting, Saturday, 11ish @Infiniti Hawaii.

Wow!!! A Cannonball run in Oahu??? That sounds like so much fun. I wonder how the police will be though?!?!? Are they going to be notified of the activity or something? Or are you going to outrun them. =) I still have to get use to the fact that cops use their own cars. When i was there, i always saw this '02 red Mustang at the North side (I think on the 83 highway) just parked waiting. If im down there, id like to hang out with you locals. Have fun on with your adventures.

Well, you wouldnt believe it, but yes, we do have cops using their own cars. To this day, I have counted 3 G35 sedans being used by the police. I met them at a car show back in June which all were enthusiastic about using them on the road. Its only a matter of time before they start breaking out the coupes and 350Z's.
As for the cannonball, well cant really call it a cannonball, more like a gumball run. Of course, being that this is held on an island, we can only do so much in ways of doing this event "legally". The event will be in a controlled manner, "hopefully". I do not want to let the rabbit out of the bag yet, but we are in the planning stage for this event. As from what Ive been hearing, this event sounds like a fun one. We would like to get all owners, and hopefully other Nissan/Infiniti groups to participate. This will hopefully bring out a larger crowd from previous gatherings.
We will keep all of your informed on the details of the event. We are also looking for members/owners who would be willing to help out.
We are having a meeting this Saturday at Infiniti 11am.

Re: Next Event...Hawaii Cannonball Run
Sorry, guys. My father passed away on Tuesday and I'll be busy with family affairs for the next couple of weeks, or at least until we sell his house (that may take longer). I won't be on the site much either during that time, so hope you guys have a great time.
Now that both of my parents have moved on, it feels a little weird being "parentless". You spend most of your young life trying to distant yourself from your parents, then you grow up, and spend more time with them. The eventual happens and you're back to square one. Hopefully next time around, you've become the parent and the cycle continues.
Just remember, life is too short, go hug your parents today!
