$500-$1K+ invoice on '04 6MT Sedan possible?
Has anyone gotten a 2004 G35 6MT Sedan for 500-1000 over invoice at any of the dealers in Northern California? If so please list package, base price before any taxes, license, etc., and which dealer you brought from. Earlier tonight I went to the Niello dealership in Concord. I offered an initial $500 over invoice hoping at the worst we could negotiate to $1000 over invoice. The best they would do was about $300 off MSRP. The salesman even let me go out the door confident that I would not be able to get a 04' 6MT close to what I was asking for and that I would have to go back to Niello. Is he right? Is it too hard to get a good deal on an '04 6MT sedan in the Bay Area? I swear I've seen some people on this board getting good deals. Just not exactly sure from where. Thanks for any help you can give me.

You might be hard pressed to get a good deal on an '04. There is no incentive for the dealer to sell to you for $500-$1000 over invoice. It's not the end of the year or even an end of a quarter where they would want to push for sales targets.
The dealer really won't make anything. there is a cost for destination and prep charges. Let alone the cost of the guys who have to wash the car every day.
Now on an '03 you might be abl;e to deal. I got mine 4K off of msrp. If your really ready to buy, let them know. They don't want to waste their time with somebody jerking their chain. your best bet is to go to all the dealerships and and try to work the best deal you can. don't limit yourself to Niello

$300 of MSRP sounds pretty harsh!
If it's that *tight* up in NorCal, why not get from SoCal? Have it delivered or pick it up yourself and make a little trip out of it.
I got mine for $500 over invoice @ Infiniti Tustin. '04 6mt Sedan with *everything* possible loaded (including the Nismo 5 piece Aero 'Kit'). I also have heard of two other dealers doing $500 over around here, but sorry I can't seem to remember exactly where in SoCal. One of em might have been Infiniti Riverside?
Also, if you're a member of either, did you mention Costco or AAA fleet discount?

I bought one of the first 2004 6MT Sedans from Peninsula Infiniti. My car came with premium and nav and I got it for $750 over invoice. The salesman I worked with was Jim Howland who was super and a great guy. I think he can get you a deal.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the help. Just want to let everyone know that I just got myself a brand spankin new '04 G35 Sedan 6MT in Ivory Pearl with Premium Package and Trunk Mat from Infiniti of Marin. Worked with the salesman Arthur and right away off the bat got it for $500 over invoice if you don't count the $400 advertising fee. No hassles or negotiatons. They took my first offer. Total sales price before tax and licesne was $31,159. Thanks to boards like these, I was able to educate myself and get the great deal I was looking for. Going to pick my car up on Tuesday after it's shipped up from another dealer. Can't wait. Now it's time for me to actually start posting here instead of just trolling. =D

Heh heh ... interesting! She might not be the same car as mine, however. I've had mine for 3 months now and had her special ordered (to my exact liking) another 3 months prior. So that's nearly 6 months (half of year) ago. When it did finally arrive in late August, it was the very 1st '04 6mt Tustin Infiniti had and possibly in SoCal ... so they claimed.
Good luck with your search! Ya might want to go the 'special order' route just to get *exactly* what ya want. Last thing you want is, "Geez ... wish I had gotten it with xxxx, etc.". It was well worth the wait for me.

Can you elaborate a little more on the Costco or AAA discounts? I've never heard of either of these......I'm looking to buy my G in a couple weeks hopefully and I can use any discounts I can get. Also, anyone had any experience with Riverside Infiniti? Thanks!
