Re: Moving to Vegas
What's up? I just moved there a month ago... fun place. There's actually a better dealership that Towbin if you want good customer service. I can't recall the name of the LV dealer, but two guys who work at Desert Dodge gave me some background info on Towbin and said there were better options. As soon as I recall the name (It was two names), I'll let ya know...
Where are you going to be living there?

The one that was recommended to me as the best is Fletcher Jones. All I can find online is their Lexus dealership, but it's not too hard to believe they have an Infiniti dealership there now too.

Re: Moving to Vegas
The only Infiniti dealers I know of here are Towbin and the new Prestige. Has anyone checked out Prestige? Figures it would open right after I bought my coupe from Towbin! Have to say they have treated me well though.

Good to hear they did Fletcher-Jones is a "import" dealer, so it's more general, I believe. Towbin didn't really rub me the right way when I worked with them, but it may be an anomoly--
When I went to Towbin for an oil change, they had "forgotten" about me (I had a standing appointment- week in advance) and so had me wait while they tried to find anyone to do an oil change. I walked into the Service Manager's office and he ACTUALLY looked at me and said "I'm on my lunch break. Sorry." If I didn't need an oil change, I would've been such a ghost. After they finally found someone, I had to wait in the waiting area for about an hour... then they left soap all over the car after cleaning it, which I'd asked them not to do. Maybe not the best first experience... it didn't help that it only reinforced that the salemen from the Dodge dealership (not like they're in competition) had said.

Re: Moving to Vegas
Have you seen that fat "G'd out pimpster" on t.v. for Towbin dealerships yet?
"We're choppin prices" .....(not to mention the customer service experience)
I've been into Towbin a couple times but never for service.
I bought a few parts from them and they gave me a free Infiniti Key chain. They all seemed slow and stoned over there but weren't a-holes to me.
I went to one of those quick lube places for my oil chance and watched them do it. I would never use a dealership for oil changes unless they had some super cheap special going on.
I only go to Towbin because it is really close to my place.
Sorry to hear the treated you like swine Geo.

Re: Moving to Vegas
Only reason I stayed there for an hour is because they said "We have an oil change special. $10." Okay
Too bad they were a pain the behind
I've not seen any commercials for anything in Vegas, actually, as I've been watching mostly HBO, etc. when I get a few minutes (hours) to catch the boob tube. I was thinking of getting together a poker night or something... get some people over, play some poker, and chill. Heck, it's cheaper than playing at the casinos! Thoughts?

Re: Moving to Vegas
As far as Towbin and Prestige go, I talked with both and it turns out that the same company owns both. But.. Prestige wanted 5g's to get my 1 G ordered! As to the 1g that Towbin wanted. I don't know, just wierd to me.. Both said they'd give it to me for MSRP but that's about it. As far as sales people go, Gil at Prestige was a total @ss.
Anyway, I'm down for a poker night when I get there. As long as we're not for big bucks.
Where am I going to live? I'm not to sure yet, but what I do know it needs to be a safe place for my G. I'm looking at finding a place for about $650, I know that won't go to far in Vegas. I'll see.

Re: Moving to Vegas
I would whole-heartedly recommend Ovation Property Management-- www.lasvegasliving.com is the link. I live at one of their properties in a pretty nice place... gated, new spacious buildings, pools, grass, fountain, hot tub, vaulted ceilings, lofts, and most important-- private garages. I've got a two-bedroom, 1500-1600sq ft. place (just me-- ahh, space ), but they have a 770sq.ft place (one bed/bath) for $770/mo I think...? This is a pic from their site--

I live in Henderson, which I wouldn't trade for the world after only living there two weeks. Summerlin or Henderson are pretty cool... everything you'd need to live comfortably; more like planned communities... closer to the strip doesn't really do much for me, but that's just me. Good luck! If you need someone to go look around prospective places, I can probably help ya out if it's not too far.

Re: Moving to Vegas
I live in the Las Vegas Country Club (Village Green Apartments). The apartments are a little older but very nice and reasonable priced. Downside is no garage. It is very safe for being really close to the strip. I pay $650 +30 for pet rent for a 1000 sq ft. 1 bedroom place that is on the golf course.
If you want to be close to the strip, I would definitely recommend the Village Green Apartments. 702-735-3143 (I believe that is the number for the rental office.)
Oh yeah and it's GUARD gated here with plenty of ritzy houses and affluent people surrounding you in the community.

Re: Moving to Vegas
I actually looked at Village Green, hehe. No one ever answered my phone calls at the rental office, and the rest is history. Funny how one disgruntled employee can change your life like that, huh? I liked the place, btw. Location's awesome, and I read about the guard, hehe. My only qualm was no garage ... and the d*uche-bag employee that cost them a lot of money.

Re: Moving to Vegas
There are few retards working the rental office. It depends when you come in, since they rotate the staff from all of the ConAm Agencies. Sometimes we get total dildoes for months at a time. It's always a different staff though due to the rotation the company uses.
As far as no garage I hated that too, so I had an upholstery shop make me a custom car cover that is competely weather proof and keeps the G out of the harsh elements quite well.
The guard staff used to have a bunch of morons working for them, but its improved quite a bit in recent months.
