Gauge Installer Recommendations?
Gentlemen and Ladies. I have four 60mm gauges I want to have installed, elegantly. (Boost/Exhaust Gas Temp/Air-Fuel Mixture/Fuel Pressure). I need the contact information of a real quality installer who can do it right. The preferred way is a carbon fiber or possibly black anodized panel, with 30 degree cant, mounted in the topmost map cubby on the right.
Recessed so the door will close. Only the cosmetics portion is necessary, I can get the hook ups handled.
This will keep the entire set up "stealth" but easily visible when I want it to be. (already have the V-1 in the console ashtray and the Tein EDFC in the roll top cubby, so when every thing is closed it still looks totally stock).
Most grateful for your personal recommendations. I live in the Pasadena area, but will go to where the best installer does his business. Thanks.

Re: Gauge Installer Recommendations?
Well, did not get any responses here, but tracked down the gents that did the stereo installation for the 350Z convertible at the LA Auto Show. They are Automotive Entertainment on Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica. Went over in the rain today to talk to them, show them the car and outline the precise way I want the installation to go. Made an appointment and will go in about two weeks to have the work done. If it goes well, I will be sure to have the templates for the forming saved and hopefully that would make it cheaper for anyone that likes the job they do. If it stinks obviously you won't.
The job will be a pair of 60mm gauge mounts in the console top cubby where the nav would go, for Boost and Air/Fuel mix.
Then a four gauge mount in the map cubby, with a cant to the faces towards the driver, for EGT, Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure and Water Temp. Slap the lids down and everything is hidden. Three Apexi and Three Greddy gauges.

I will try to make it to the mini get together at Islands tomorrow, and if so we can chat about it. May not be able to go to the show with the group though. If I make it we can talk about the set up. It will be done in about two weeks and when it is I will let you know and we can meet for you to look it over. If the weather is bad I will drive my truck!

Wicked:
These guys just did a custom installation on a G sedan, for a stereo mod, and they replicated the plastic console and silver paint for an installation there, it looked OEM. If you wanted the gauges permanently visible they could do that for you in the cut out area. I am having my gauge panel recessed and the flip up door kept in place, so I can pop it closed and keep the gauges hidden.
Jeff at Perf Nissan is getting the prototype Dreamworks unit installed on his car next week in Duarte. He will let you know how it is I am sure. (that is a Roots style blower set up).

Eagle1: Thanks a lot. Will see you there. BUt tomorrow I am leaving back for S.F., however I'll be back every 3-4 weeks. I hope to meet you then.
Wicked: Yes I know all about Jeff's setup - can't wait to see it. But I still think TT is the better way to go .. and it'll cost me about a grand more I suspect. If it wasn't for the warrany that I get with dreamworks, I would definitely opt for the TT setup, but now? I am not sure... I may go with the SC. The SC though is much harder on your car than is TT, and you can turn down the boost on the TT whereas it's certainly not with the SC.
Cheers guys... my stay in L.A. is almost over - back to the dreaded bay area - I have got to make that forsaken place my home somehow - or I will just go nuts.....
Love you socal people ... true car enthusiasts.... We need to electrify teh Bay area... I'm gonna organize some meets there... that's it! I'm gonna take action!!!
Sorry for the digression.
