Do anyone meet in these areas? I wouldn't mind meeting fellow G owners, just to cruise and B.S. about stuff. The reason I ask is because I have owned my G for about 7months now, have been following this site for a couple of months now and have been very interested in doing some various mods. If there is enough people in these area's maybe we should get together! Anyone interested?

 

I live in Temecula. I drive a Silver 6MT sedan. I have done a few mods to my G35.

I also like to do a little autoX with the local SCCA. I've been to San Diego and L.A. events. They are a lot of fun.

Where do you live? If we could get enough people together we could take a drive up Palomar Mountain. I was up there yesterday. Very good twisty road.

 

I live in Hemet, and work in Temecula (On Winchester Rd.) Palomar mountain...I think I went there one time with my wife and daughter, is there an observatory at the top? I was in the SUV with the family so of course not as fun as it would be in the G! I would definetly be up for a drive sometime! I think there should be enough drivers in San Diego, not sure about our area though. Nice mods by the way, I'm sure it looks and handles great.

 

Yes that observatory is Palomar observatory. Pretty cool place. But the drive in the G is definitly the more fun of the two activities.

What do you have, I mean G wise? There have been a few post about trips to Juliene. I think we may be able to get a group to take a trip up to Palomar. Start a post here and see what happens. Maybe we could even run up to Idyllwild. Just an idea.

Nice car! How often do they have those events, and where? I have a 03 coupe. The only upgrades I've done to my car to date is a K&N drop in filter, XM sat, Tint....and I just ordered a grounding kit from gordgee. I'm cool with cruising to any of those places, so hopefully there would be some more people interested!

 

The SCCA events are about once a month. Although San Diego won't have an event until it looks like late Feb or March as they are ahving problems with the Qualcomm management. So for San Diego they are at the Qualcomm Stadium (Chargers home) and for LA they are at CA Speedway in Fontana, Hollywood Park (horse race track) in LA and Norton AFB in San Bernardino. The last one was last week at CA Speedway. Go to www.sdr.com for San Diego or www.solo2.com for LA or go to www.scca.com to see how it works on a national level. It is great to get and out and push your car to the limit and it is really really safe. No chance of damaging your car or yourself unless you run into someone, something in the parking lot at the event. Plus the cost is so low. Check it out.

I'll make a post to see if anyone wants to take a drive around here somewhere. Give me a date and I'll make a post.

 

Thanks for all the info. I will definetly check it out. As for the drive, I'm cool with this weekend or next...Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I'm not sure how much time is needed to gather enough people so what do you suggest....maybe next weekend?

 

I recently moved from Temecula to San Diego but I'm in the area often visiting friends.

I did a drive to Julian on Monday. I drive to Palomar, Wildomar and the back roads to Palm Springs occasionally so I'm in the area all the time. If you want to get together this Saturday (Sunday is supposed to rain) I'm definitely interested.

Well then, why don't we plan for next Saturday the 31st. We could meet at Starbucks or maybe at Pechanga, I only say Pechanga since I work there. Maybe around 10 a.m. If this sounds good, p.m. and set the time. I wouldn't sugest going to Palomar though, too many motorcycles racing up and down the Mtn. But maybe we could cruise out 79 towards Idywild or something. Talk to you guys later. Oh! Ilust4G, p.m. me if you want to meet up tommorrow anyway.
