Mike,

I see you guys encountered the occasional hay truck on the way home. That happens sometimes. The 2/21 or maybe even 2/22 date sounds great. I run it by the boss and she what she thinks. Hey do you think we may be able to meet your wife this next run?

Yeah the hay truck was torture! We were stuck behind that behemoth for a while.

It got even worse on my way home. After splitting off from the group to go home, I decided to take the 79S all the way to Escondido. I got stuck behind a cement truck the whole 30 miles! There were NO chances to pass at all because there was plenty of traffic coming in the opposite direction. I had planned to do some more driving but by the time I got from behind that cement truck I was worn out. It's stressful trying to pass over and over again only to find your efforts are futile.

If we go on 2/21 my wife can make it. She's flying on 2/22 so that wouldn't work for her.

If she comes I'll volunteer to be at the end of the line because she'll be like the Bud commercial barking in my ear to slow down...(just kidding, she's not that bad but I'm sure there would have been finger imprints in the door handles if she had ridden with us the other day!)

 

I know what you mean Mike I'm still trying to let the blood flow back into my arms up to now. I told the wife next time I'll leave you behind so I can have more fun with the boys. And with her usual smart a$$ remark...oh yeah what are you going to be driving when you go with the boys the accord? Gees! Women!

If she finds out how fast I drive in these cruise, she will not let me go on any cruise again EVER [img]/w3timages/icons/blush.gif[/img]. I second Glenn's remark, Women!

Wow! My car is in almost every one of the pics. lol. I think that the 21st sounds good to me aswell, and the 14th is definitely out (It's my sons 1st birthday.). Maybe this time we could head up to Julian and get some pie or something. And that hay truck sucked!!! I'll probably get my wife to cruise along to, so I'll have to keep the mph's down aswell. Especially with my son in the car. I wouldn't want to show him how to drive fast too soon. Well, talk to you guys later.

I'll be there for the 21st for sure! So who's initiating this one ;-) That pie sounds good, Ray you sold me on it when you were talking about it last time. Mike did you say there was some kind of event on the 15th. My mom will be down that weekend so I will have a babysitter and could possibly come with my wife. Let me know. Anyway I am down for the 21st, we need to recruit some more G's as well.

 

Ok guys I will initiate this cruise. That means I get the lunch bill. Let's plan on going to Juliene. This is a great time of the year to go. I will make the post and lets see what happens again. Does everyone want to meet at the same place or are there other suggestions.

As for the other thing that is happening on 2-14-04 and 2-15-04. That is the SCCA event at the Quallcomm. I will probably need to be there both days as the club I'm in is sponsering the event. The better day to be at this event is 2-15-04 as that is the day that the competition is. On Saturday they just have practice. The crowd will be larger on 2-15-04. Plus I know that at least a couple of other G35 sedans will be there competing. Let me know if you need directions or what ever to get the Q (Qualcomm).

You're out of town that weekend. SCNAX first SD event and your out of town. Man that's to bad. Well maybe you can bring your wife to the cruise we are planning for 2-21. We're going to Julienne. I will post the cruise info just as soon as I figure out the details. I'll try to represent the G35's well at the Q.

I know, it sucks to miss SCNAX's first event. However, I've had reservations in Vegas for 4 months, and the racing schedule just came out last week. What can you do? [img]/w3timages/icons/tongue.gif[/img] At least there are plenty of slots for events this year, thanks to the Padres moving out of the stadium to their own ballpark.
