brake issues
could anyone offer advice on this issue:
I own a 2003 G35 sedan that now has 12k miles. I am experiencing multiple brake issues and have brought my car into the dealer 3 times to be repaired. they explained that the brakes on this car will need to be replaced every 10-15k miles. well, i just brought my car in two weeks ago to have the front brakes replaced, only to end up with more screeching. I contacted infiniti and they say this is normal. this doesn't seem normal and i'm getting fed up-- any advice is much appreciated.

Re: brake issues
I just got my brakes checked up and 15k mile service completed today, I initially brought it in because I was tired of hearing the squeals. I have an 03 coupe as well. When it was done, at first just a little squeaking and I felt my blood start to boil, I then settled down and said that I'll give it a little while before I concern myself. By the time I got home and pulled into the driveway with the usual warning of the high pitch sound, I pulled up in a very stealth like manner...so I was very relieved. So I guess we'll see if this holds up. The dealer told me they replaced and upgraded my front brake pads (they told me I had like 2mm left on the pad) I do feel a big difference in response. It feels like new again! Squeaking brakes are not normal, the FX35 they gave me as a loaner didn't squeak and it had close to 9k miles on it, I've driven many other cars with no problems. Don't settle for less, you've paid good money and should not have to deal with the embarrassment when you pull up to a stop light, or reverse out of a parking space (this happens right?). What dealer have you been going to?
Re: brake issues
Try doing a couple of hard stops.. hard enough to lock the seatbelt.. from about 35 down to nearly stopped. That should scrub off any dirt or gunk on the pads and rotors and may stop the squealing.
Lack of use or always using light braking can allow buildup which will squeal. Moderate to hard braking cleans them up.
