Dealer in Phoenix trying to avoid warranty

Took my 2007 G35x to Pinnacle Nissan in Phoenix, for the replacement key swap. At the same time, got an oil change and mentioned the only issue I have noticed so far... a rattle in the passenger-side seat belt height adjuster. The cause was identified by me to the service guy and he agreed... the tensioning spring under the top of the adjustment device is weak and the assembly rattles.

As expected, when I went to collect the vehicle, the service guy said they hadn't replaced the part and tried to give me "they all do that" guff. I asked him to order a new replacement part anyway....

They spend a bunch of money on flashy premises and media promotion but when it actually counts, some (most..?) dealers consistently bring a cheesey reputation upon themselves

Nissan dealerships won't (can't) do warranty work for Infiniti, or so I was told!
Next time you need an oil change take your G to an Infiniti dealership, they're
alway willing to take your money. See if they'll fix your seatbelt issue.....

Hooray.... someone with a brain

Why would Nissan NOT do Infiniti work. Is it so rare for Nissan and Infiniti not to share dealerships, it doesn't make sense for them not to... it's only a freakin badge difference....??

I know several Nissan dealerships that are not attached to Infiniti shops and vice versa, so no, deciphering that it is right next to an Infiniti dealer is not necessarily obvious to people that dont know that particular shop.

Thanks, good to know, if I continue to get d*cked with.

My experience with Ford and Mitsubishi Customer Relations did not substantially bear fruit (just bogus apologies but no action) hopefully Infiniti would be different.

My seatbelt adjuster rattles too.

"They all do that" may be correct, but it doensn't mean it shouldn't be fixed.

But, I don't know that getting a new adjuster will make a difference. Unless they engineered the new one differently, nothing will change.

They don't all do it... my driver's side is perfect and you can easily discern the difference in the spring tension on the cap of the adjuster; the spring is shagged... no more complicated than that... forgive my use of "technical" terminology
