There's no need to apologize. It was a great meet. It did become more focused on 350z's, but that's fine. This was the first major meet that I finally could attend. I missed the one in September working on my headlights. I missed the one in December working on my brakes. You can tell that the crew at Performance Nissan put a lot of effort into the organization. Even had makeshift trash receptacles every 10 feet or so.

 

Is anyone going to make another video like that G's Gone Wild one? That video was great - you So Cal guys have a lot better turnout than us up in the Bay Area. Looked like an awesome meet. Any pics of the cruise?

Ed, I had a BLAST!

I'm usually shy at such things, but I found it really easy to talk to just about everyone. Just about everyone I talked to was happy to talk shop and show off their cars. It was great that there is so much enthuiasm for the group and the cars. I even got a lot of compliments on my car, and I thought I had been pretty conservative with my mods. What's even better is that I got to see / hear / touch every mod I have been thinking about (I still need to find whoever has that Typhoon CAI...I want to hear it!!!).

As for the meet itself, I thought there was great representation by the sponsors. I had a great conversation with the guy from Stillen and that just wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for Ed and his efforts in getting all this together.

As far as improving future meets, I would be willing to save my mods for the meets, and install them with the group. I think it would br great if a few of us has different projects going that we worked on at the meets. I know I for one would love to have a few of you under my hood with the same attention to detail that went into your own cars. It might also be a good way for those new to modding to learn a thing or two from those that are more seasoned. Maybe we can try to have a meet at or near a tuner shop...where ther are floor jacks, etc..?

And babbling even further...I would really like to see if there is someway we can associate our meets with a local track of some sort and maybe do some 1/4 mile runs or something similar. Seeing all the cars rocks, seeing them in action would be incredible.

Dont get me wrong, I loved the meet and loved the oportunity to get to meet some of you. Gurden, Ed, Young, Kawika...you guys were great. I just think that if the 100 or so of us could do something productive (help each other mod our cars, improve track times, etc...) it would be even cooler.

Oh, and I would TOTALLY be willing to pay some sort of dues or meet registration to help pay for these types of activities. I know these things aren't free.

I heard those carbon fibre hoods are a bad idea because they are so stiff that they don't alway crumple in an accident and can decapitate the passengers. I read about it happening to some guy with a CF hood where his head was chopped off in a frontal accident. Anyone have any more info about this?

 

Thank you to Ed and Jason and whoever else helped the meet happen. It was worth the drive down from the bay area. It was nice to meet other people and checkout all the cars. I a great time and will be back again. Maybe some of you guys will make it up here for one of our little meets someday. That would
be great.
