Just got back from LACR

I just got back from LACR and the 1/4 mile there. I met Randy (AKA Randys_G). I got in 8 runs using a variety of launch techniques. Anyways, here are the corrected times.

I drive a 2003.5 Sedan, Auto, Sport, have a Z-tube, K&N panel filter, opened up the airbox, and have a 7-wire grounding kit. I run with my stock Goodyear GS-D tires.

1st run: 14.87@93.98MPH 60' time 2.2397
2nd run: 15.032@93.71MPH
3rd run: 14.951@95.02MPH 60' time 2.279

This 4th run was against Randy AKA "Randys_G". He was driving a 6MT Coupe with the K&N short ram.

My times are first
14.79@95.58MPH R/T .837
Randy14.64@95.13MPH R/T.939

My 60' time was 2.283 No 60' times on his lane

All and all it was pretty close, he pulled out right at the end and beat me.

My best time was against an SRT-4 Neon thingie.
I ran a 14.68@95.64MPH and 2.21 60' time to his
14.43@97.28MPH

My best R/T was a .626.

Had a blast, and we need to do this again on a Wednesday night.

Anyways, here are the corrected times.

Wait, can you clearify the times? ... so the posted times above have the altitude factored in correct?

Would you post the uncorrected time for easy comparison sake? Thanks.

I have an '04 Sedan 6mt (K&N drop-in only). I managed a 15.101 last time out. I felt it was possible to get into the 15.0x or even 14.9x if I perfect my launch.

Re: Just got back from LACR

take your time from the slip and multiply it by 0.97 to get your corrected time.

Re: Just got back from LACR

Hi All,

We had a blast yesterday. AUDI (Danny) is a very cool person and I plan to clear that up in the COUPE forum later. My best times were:

1st 14.975 @ 92.477mph or 14.52 @ 95.251mph at sea level
2nd 15.004 @ 94.999mph or 14.55 @ 97.848mph " "
3rd was the one SoCalG35 (Rob) listed above with him but I don't have the slip...the corrected time was 14.64 @ 95.13MPH

My best reaction times were .504 and .590

Be sure to check out my post in the COUPE forum later regarding AUDI 2_7t (Danny)

2 G or NOT 2 G, there is no question!

Hey Audi ... what kind of times were you getting up there? You should be pulling off some decent time since you're car practically makes its own atmosphere, where the Gs are asthmatic at that altitude.

Rob, great race. It was definitely fun! Next time, leave your spare in the trunk, you'll get better traction!

Re: Just got back from LACR

you're probably talking about audi_2_7t.
he runs consistant 14.6's. best time last time was 2 14.4's, once alone and once with me in the car, which translates into 13.9. but for the time he ran with me, i'd say it was easily a 14.3 (13.8)

Re: Just got back from LACR

That's fairly impressive. Is his 2.7t stock?
Jason's Z runs in teh 14.2-3 ranges (NA) ... should pair the two of them up next time.

Re: Just got back from LACR

That sounds like a challenge! =) Well, maybe next time we can get Jason out there. He WAS invited. Oh, and for those who said Wednesday night wouldn't be any different than a Friday night regarding how business they get....wrong. I ran 15 or 16 times yesterday and the longest I waited in line was 10 minutes. Wednesday night races ROCK!

Rob, do you have the slip for our second run?
