Uh.. no.. the wife did not break the law. A 3 point turn, using a drive-way, down the street from a fire station is not a U-Turn in front of a fire station.

The officer and the judge agreed that a 3-point turn is not a u-turn. Even if she it was, the code she was cited on specifies a U-turn not a 3 point turn. the rest was thrown in to question his judgement should he decide to argue.

The lesson is, read the codes and understand exactly what the officer ticketed you for. Cover your bases.
