Steve,
The $50 sounds cool to me. We should have a deadline for payment, maybe 2 weeks b4 the meet.
How early is "early"? Leave the LA area b4 or after the morning rush hour. From were I live that would mean meeting at In-N-Out at 8am or 11am.

Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
the early the better.how about 1 month before the meet.that way george will have plenty of time to play with.
i'm thinking 11:00am at barstow in-n-out.

Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
I am unclear on what the $50 for VIP is. If it is pretty much just to get into a club, count me out on that one.
And definitely not meet at 8am. That is too damn early. I think 11am in Barstow is a bit early too, but I can deal with that.

Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
The $50 would be for a lunch buffet, VIP access, and to generally help offset the costs of putting together the meet. Reserving areas for us to meet (ie. lounges) sometimes requires a down-payment... unless you want to try and find space for 20 people in Vegas on the weekend.
I have no problem giving up a lot of time and energy to putting this together, but making bookings for >15 people tends to have monetary consequences, and when they back out at the last time, you're out.
As an example- I booked Timber's last time for $150, as a non-refundable booking fee for at least 20 people. Since we had 40+ sign up, then less than 15 show, I had to cancel the reservation the week before. Since they'd held the room and told others it was booked, they got the moolah, but I didn't get the room (could only keep the reservation for at least 20, lest they hemorrhage cash).
Think of it as a combo of necessity and courtesy to those who put meets together.

Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
Haven't done Studio 54 yet, but Rain is played out, unless you have upstairs vip. I can't stand the bottom of Rain (hanging out with "commonfolk"). It's always elbow to elbow, and after about 1 hr, my ears are literally bleeding.
Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
Only VIP from now on. I'm done with the "plebe" scene. Anyone up for it?
