Looking for a shop in Arizona to mount tires

I'm looking to have a shop mount some tires for me on my new wheels. I'm a little nervous about having some regular Joe Smoe shop do it and scratch or damage my wheels. I've seen the equipment that they use at Discount tire and they use metal pry bars to help them mount and dismount tires. I'm looking for a shop that uses the best equipment that won't scratch or damage my rims. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you think other shops use silk-lined tools? It's a giant rubber ring mounted on a metal hoop...It's not gonna get mounted on hope and wishes alone.

Silk would be nice.

Any of our shops are going to be careful with the wheels, but if you're really concerned, take to the shop at Frank Lloyd Wright & 101. That's our highest grossing store in AZ and they work on Bentley's, Porsche's, High-End Merc's all the time. It's the store the owner takes all of his cars to.

Or don't take it there...I don't care. But all of the shops in the area use pretty much the same equipment. I bet a lot of the smaller shops bought our old tire changers when we got new ones. It's not the equipment that's the problem, it's the guy operating the stuff that matters.

What wheels did you get? For what car? Z or G?

Most shops equipped to do fancy wheels have these little plastic tabs they put on top of the pieces that hold the wheel in place to mount or dismount the tire. I can tell you a few places Ive gone, and one place I have gone pretty regularly here by my place. Just give me a call. But like diesel86 wrote, discount should be able to do this without you worrying. just be specific in telling the manager to make certain they exercise beyond reasonable care to avoid any scratching on your wheels.

You're using 19" wheels as slicks?

My friend Jeremy works at Discount tire at Bell and Tatum. He has worked on all my wheels from $100 each to $1,100 each. He only works on Saturdays but you can go and ask for him.

John, I had a good experience with AZ Motor Trends on 91st Av, in Peoria a few weeks ago when I got my tires replaced. Would recommend, they use the same tire mounting equipment Discount Tire does.
