Re: Fireworks ?

You only can buy class C(?) in Las Vegas. a.k.a the weak stuff. If you're looking for the good stuff you'll have to go to Moapa (North of LV on I 15) or Pahrump (west on hwy 160). Be careful though NHP loves stopping motorists coming back from these locations, searching them and writing nice little fines if you are caught bringing back illegal fireworks to Clark County.

If you are just looking for the regular stuff you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a fireworks stand in LV 1 week prior to the fourth.

Re: Fireworks ?

Both spots are a about 1.5 hours each way that makes for a pretty out of the way trip. Only the crappy stuff is sold in within Clark County which encompasses all of Las Vegas unfortunately. I would recommend going to Moapa if you are going to go. The selection is pretty good and you can check out the Valley of Fire while you're there. Just keep on I 15 north past Vegas until you see the Moapa / Valley of Fire signs. Not sure about the exact distance.

Re: Fireworks ?

1.5 hours to Pahrump? If you are taking a mule perhaps. It is less than sixty miles to Pahrump from the 15 freeway. Not really too out of the way to get "the good stuff" (like on the movie Joe Dirt)

Re: Fireworks ?

Haven't been to Pahrump in a while. I know its about 60 miles but I seem to remember single lane winding roads to get over the mountain. Maybe they've improved it since then.

Re: Fireworks ?

NismoV35... What is a brothel? I have never heard of such a thing. 1 hour is about right to get to Pahrump btw.
