Driving to Cali

Hey guys im planning on driving up to cali for spring break!!
But i dont think i can take my G up there cuz i have 5% tint on driver and passenger windows, 3% on the rest and a greddy evoTT exhaust.
Do you guys think cops in cali would pull me over for the tint or the exhaust note?
thanks for any input!

u have AZ plates right? or are u from cali going to school in AZ??
since ur out of state..., u dont really fall into cali jurisdiction.

and u should be fine. as far as i know, but im not 100% sure...i have friends that visit from vegas, new mexico, with full tinted cars..no problems.

BUT...dont drive like an idiot or attract attention.

I have had dark tint on all my cars and taken them to Cali with no issues as long as I have AZ plates. If you are local and the cops see you over and over in CA, you might get in some trouble.

Not true. He can still be fined. He's in CA there for it does become our problem. I have a cousin that is a CHP officer, and he issues tickets for the tint, no front lic plate (since other states dont require by law) and for driving cars from other states but living here in CA or having CA drivers lic all the time.....

Like they say, just dont drive like a idiot out here. Cause it will make you stand out. Oh and just lower your windows when your out here. Look at my garage pic and look at my front window their super dark.

any law enforcement officer is a chump if he is citing anything outside of speed limits to out of staters. its not like they are gonna be around much more.
That would kill tourist travel if there was a problem with that for many.

+1 LA cops aren't going to stop u for any "fix it" tickets if you've got out of state plates.
Only moving violations.

I have a muffler delete and haven't been pulled over for it yet. Knock on wood.

I got a friend who has an Avalon with limo tint in the front and double limo in the rears and he hasn't gotten a ticket.

It's all cop dependent. Basically, don't do anything dumb or that would attract attention and you should be fine.

you should be okay,a few years back I went to cal from denver and had colorado plates on and got pulled over for blue tint on my civic hatchback, officer gave me a warning because he said that it is illegal in cali but does'nt know the laws in colorado so he did'nt give me a ticket..as long as you have out of state plate you should be fine..
