San Diego Area Dealerships

Hello fellow San Diegans. Here's a potentially good bit of news. I just heard on the radio today that Discover Infiniti of Carlsbad is changing ownership. It's now Hoehn Infiniti. Considering the lack of competition and our general lack of enthusiasm with Discover, I'd say this is a good thing. Anybody have any experience with any of Hoehn's other luxury brand dealerships?

I bought one of my old Accords at a Hoehn...good people there. Glad to hear the news as everyone I know has bitched about the Infiniti dealers (salesmanship) in the SD area...

My problem wasn't with sales, but I'm starting to get frustrated with the level of service at Discover.

Team Carlsbad were a bunch of boneheads anyway. No big loss the the G-35 community. The Hoehn people seem to get it. Hopefully they can fix it...I almost bought a TL-S from them. The Discover people just could not seem to stand the fact that I was under 40 and was looking in there dealship for a new car. Never really had the right products, no deals to be had and frankly, they were a little rude. I went up the road to Mission Viejo. What a difference 40 miles makes. Great service, and they were nice. They opened up the place early when I picked it up, cut me great deal and I was out of there in less than a hour. I did the whole thing on line through Infinity's web site. Now they have my money I have have a great car.

G35/S/MT....this car rocks!

Re: San Diego Area Dealerships

I bought mine from Discover in Kearny Mesa. The sales team there was actually very courteous and friendly. The service department's only crime to date is horrid lack of communication. They say a part will come in "in a week or two," and in a week or two "any day now," instead of checking to see that it's actually on backorder and will take a month. My thing is, I don't mind waiting a month if they're upfront about it. I don't like waiting a couple more days 10 times over. The actual work performed was fine, they swapped out my jammed radio and the dash looks same as new, no scratches, no rattles. I think their courtesy wash service is actually a hand wash job. I've been going to one particular service consultant (the one recommended by my salesman), but I think I'll try a different service consultant and see if that alleviates my aggravations.
