My License Plate Got Stolen
Some idiot stole my license plate in LA/OC area.
If you guys see a license plate that says
<html>RACE LA</html> and it is not on a silver G35 Coupe 6MT Brembo,
call the cops and report it stolen.

Thanks man! I've actually replaced the Progressive Spokes with the GT-C with RBC Finish.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. I do find it somewhat ironic though since my good friend and I were just talking [yesterday] about possibly having my license plate stolen. He was suggesting for me to use screws that have a special screw head on them, i.e. requires a specialized tool to unscrew it. I actually thought it was kind of a good idea. Perhaps you may want to look into this too...

Although I am not in socal, it doesn't make sense for someone on the board to report a plate stolen to the police.
The picture does look "PHOTOSHOPPED". How do we know what you're saying is actually true? How do we know if you just happen to spot this car and took a picture of it and posted it on here?
If these plates were in fact "STOLEN" sorry to hear that.
The proper steps to take should be the following:
1) You "registered owner of the plates", should've called the POLICE in your area the MOMENT you noticed your plates were stolen regardless if they only took 1 plate or both..! Wait for the police to come, do not call 911, call local police department's phone number in the city it was stolen...this is considered a non-emergency case and the police or sherriff will come out and write a police report.
2) The police will put out an A.(all) P(points) B(bulletin) - It will go on CA's list of stolen cars/plates "HOTLIST" for that day!
3) If and when the police find the plates on the car it is being used on, if the plates are stolen, most of the time it is used in a criminal act, the police will run the plates and if it comes back stolen, the person using those plates on a different vehicle will be arrested!
I too have personal plates and if someone stole them, I'd take these steps...If you drove arond without plates but have the REGISTRATION with that plate number, I'm sure the POLICE or HWY PATROL will give you a fix it ticked and re-order new plates with the DMV.
What's the status of the missing plates?

i can attest his plates are (or were) real. not photoshopped. i was with them during on eG35 meet at HB a few months back. parked next to his car. unfortunately i didnt have a pic of his plate, but definitely it said "RACE LA".

if you look at his rear plate closely (the G next to the EVO), you can see there is print on one side of the plate, a small gap, then some small print on the other side. its the "RACE LA" words just at a side angle. unfortunately thats my only other shot of it.

I think he meant the wheels are photoshopped. And on the pic you posted looks like the wheels are the stock 18's. One of the member on this forum did a check on the pic posted and it looks like the wheels are not real... and is photoshopped... maybe the plates are his but the wheels are def. fake.
