Talking New G on the block.

Hello all,

I've been prowling around G35driver for a while now but finally got an account to post because I took the plunge today and bought myself a 2006 Diamond Graphite Metallic G35 6mt. It has 67k miles with 2 years left or 20k left on the extended warranty. All paper work since previous owner bought it from Infiniti are all here. Just after about 10 hours of having the car, I already know this ones a keeper.

So just wondering, is there anything I should look out for or things that are prevalent problems that I should check out while I still have my warranty or just common defects on these cars. I've read about some stuff like the oil consumption, the oil leaking in the cylinders and the sticky clutch, but is there anything else? Thanks again!

Thumbs up

Nope!
Just have a leak down test done on the engine and make sure you keep an eye on that tranny while you can. I had my tranny replaced under warranty at 35K. If you keep stock suspension, that will be fine too. I have 133K on my G now and the stock suspension is still good. Oh! I did have the window motors replaced at one point. They stopped working and I believe that was a known issue, but that's about it.

Enjoy the ride,

Ray
